Get some unusual adult-training inspiration from Sirocco the kākāpō in how to school an adult. Watch as Sirocco slaps ecologist Mark Carwardine around the head with his wings in this famous BBC video. (See if you can stop yourself from giggling ... Mark's mate Stephen Fry couldn't!)
Use the force to train your parents or teacher to join you going wild on missions! Upload photos with your adult in them and earn bonus Wild Eyes points.
What to do
Your mission is:
Instructions
1. EMBRACE THE WILD
Do a Wild Eyes activity with your Adult. If you do one that requires adult supervision such as the Firepit, you could kill two birds with one stone!
(That’s a metaphor – neither you nor your Adult should kill any birds!)
2. PROVE YOUR POWERS
Take a photo that proves that you’ve trained an adult to do it with you, and upload it to Wild Eyes!
3. LEARN FROM THE EXPERTS
Get inspiration from a couple of adult-training experts. Estella and Lucy are two young Wellingtonions who're helping look after birds like kākā and tīeke by trapping rats and weasels in Polhill Reserve.
Watch HERE as they train TV reporter Lachlan Forsyth on what he needs to do to join their pesticide squad!
ADULT-TRAINING TIP
Adults are an unpredictable species so try to learn their behaviours and habits before releasing them into the wild.

SIROCCO SCHOOLS A HUMAN
MOST WELL-TRAINED ADULT OF ALL
For over half a century legendary naturalist David Attenborough has been traveling the world helping us learn about how awesome the wild things are. Watch David sneak up and go boo to a sloth! (And don't get inspiration from the sloth when your parents ask you to tidy you room: "I'm just learning about sloths Mum!!")
NIC TOKI: WELL TRAINED KIWI
One extremely well-trained Kiwi (we're talking a person not the bird or the fruit!) is Department of Conservation Threatened Species' Ambassador Nic Toki. Listen to her talk about being a nature kid (like you!) and dragging home a dried shark's head from the beach!
ADULT VS WILD!
Bear Grylls trained as a special forces trooper in the UK army, so he's pretty well trained too, but what we're most impressed by is that he's got thousands of people inspired to get into the outdoors = well trained sir!
Enjoy his top 10 craziest moments in the wild!
CRIKEY!
Australian Steve Irwin aka The Crocodile Hunter was pretty well-trained (he was a passionate champion of looking after our wild animals) but sometimes you couldn't say the same thing about the wild animals he was showing us ... as you'll see in this clip!
